License

The @agent-sheet/wasm package is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2), with additional limitations for the WebAssembly engine. The full text is in the package’s LICENSE file, which is the binding version. This page summarizes it.

The SDK is free to use, including in commercial products. ELv2 is a source-available license, not an open-source license.

  • Use the SDK for any purpose, commercial or not, at no cost.
  • Ship it inside your applications, websites, desktop apps and backend services, and bundle, minify or transpile it with your own code.
  • Copy and distribute it, including from mirrors and CDNs.
  • Change the JavaScript files and TypeScript declarations, for example with patch-package or pnpm patch. Agent Sheet does not support changed copies.
  • Provide the SDK to others as a hosted or managed service that gives them access to a substantial set of its features. A public “convert XLSX to CSV” API is an example. Using spreadsheet features inside your own product is allowed.
  • Modify the WebAssembly engine, or use or distribute a modified engine. The engine is dist/agent-sheet.wasm and the same binary embedded in the JavaScript files. Copying, bundling or re-encoding it without changing the binary is fine.
  • Decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the engine.
  • Remove or change the license, copyright or other notices. If you distribute the SDK, include the license terms. Bundlers keep the /*! ... */ header comments by default.

If you are unsure whether your use is covered, or you need different terms, contact hello@agent-sheet.dev.

Agent Sheet’s hosted and paid services are separate products with their own terms. The SDK license does not cover them.

The codepage tables in dist/cpexcel.js come from the codepage project and are licensed under the Apache License 2.0. The license text is in dist/cpexcel.LICENSE.

The SDK is an independent implementation of an API compatible with @sheet/edit. It contains no code from @sheet/edit.
